What I needed to better my boring photography

Posted by Vanessa on 21st Apr 2018

I was in a major slump before coming across this breakout. I was getting bored with what I was producing and knew my photos were lacking. I've already learned how to shoot in manual, how to shoot in different types of light, I can take a decent portrait but I knew I was missing something. Within the first couple pages of the breakout I knew it was going to be a game changer. This is my 7th breakout through CM and by far my absolute favorite. After completing the PDF I was so inspired and had so many ideas rolling around in my head. Now, when my camera is in my hand I feel I am more thoughtful in trying to capture pictures that go above and beyond a "good" portrait. The PDF alone is worth the cost of the breakout but the additional materials are awesome too. I LOVE the shooting and editing videos. Natalie is a great teacher and I hope to see more from her soon!

I learned a lot just about telling stories from the PDF alone and I love how Natalie helps to direct you to finding what you are drawn to and how to achieve that in your personal images.

When I can’t wait to even finish the materials before I leave a review, you know it’s a super awesome breakout!

Natalie gives so much inspiration, several introspective exercises, and enormous encouragement to push your work to the next level! It is sure to inspire any photographer, from beginner to pro. I love when breakouts help you find out who you are as an artist, and this one has that and more. Besides all the amazing content, I just love the actual flow of the PDF. It just feels like she is talking to you as a friend and a fellow photographer who really just loves it as much as you do. And I haven’t even dipped into the videos yet! So excited to keep going!
