    I LOVE learning from Tenley!

Posted by Emily on 26th Sep 2019

I’m not even a kids photographer, but I learned so much about how to make creative photoshoot props and how to interact with different personalities. This was more than worth it, and I’d recommend to anyone regardless of what you shoot!

    Great value!

Even though I don’t do styled shoots, the tips for posing/getting to smile genuinely are gold for my family sessions. I’m certainly nowhere near Tenley’s amazing attitude and extraness, but this certainly helps!

    AMAZING

So I just basically binge watched and read this breakout within a day. Tenley is AMAZING and she shares so much great information about how to customize photo shoots with creative diy props that are NOT cheesy. I love that she chose to share ideas for props and prop making that are budget friendly and can be done quickly with short notice. But my absolute favorite favorite section was the one in which she photographs different kids in the studio. There is nothing more valuable than watching another photographer work. I got so much out of how she interacted with each child – how she drew them out of their shell if they were shy, how she kept their energy up if they started off energetic and engaging, and how she redirected them back to what she needed gently while still keeping the session fun. Tenley is seriously a master at working with kids – I’ve loved her work for a long time. But it wasn’t until I watched her work that I understood how great she is at what she does. If you’re considering this breakout, I say go for it – so worth it!
